The FCT minister, Muhammad Musa Bello

The minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Muhammad Musa Bello, will lead a high powered campaign council of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the territory for the re – election of President Muhammadu Buhari.


This was made known last Friday during an extraordinary meeting of APC stakeholders held at the residence of the FCT minister in Life Camp, Abuja.

Speaking after the meeting which had  Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, in attendance and all the party’s candidates vying for various offices in the forthcoming elections, Bello emphasised that the party was going into the electioneering as one family.

He said he was chairman of the APC Campaign Council in the FCT and would be responsible for policy and strategy, while he would be deputised by the FCT APC Chairman, Alhaji Abdulmalik Usman.

He said other members of the council included all National Assembly aspirants, board of trustees members, national executives representing FCT, area council chairmen and the campaign director-general among others.

The minister revealed that the campaign would began with tour of the entire six area councils culminating in a mega national rally of the party billed for the Abuja capital city.

He said the setting up of the campaign council was sequel to the reconciliation committee set up by the APC in the FCT, headed by Senator Adamu Sidi Ali, to reconcile all aggrieved aspirants and other members of the party after the primary elections.

In his remarks at the meeting, the SGF, Boss Mustapha, urged party members to forge a united front in this campaign season as it was only through unity and purposefulness that the party could win the polls.
